English

Introduction : The present study was conducted to investigate the simultaneous effect of MICT training and Yomogi supplementation on the expression of some adipocytokines in adipose tissue of obese mice. Methods: For this study, 40 male white Wistar rats, aged about three months and weighing 200 to220 grams, were randomly assigned to five groups. The groups included: healthy control, patient control group, patient+training group, patient+supplement group, and patient+training+supplement group. A standard high-fat diet was used. A moderate-intensity continuous training protocol was performed for 8 weeks, three sessions per week at an intensity of 60 to 65% of VOmax. Running speed was gradually increased from 10 m/min in the first week to 25 m/min in the eighth week, and the incline of the device was set to zero degree throughout. 48 hours after the last training session, adipose tissue was extracted and the expression of vaspin and omentin genes was measured. One-way ANOVA test were used to analyze the data at a significance level of P≥0.05. Results: The results showed that a significant difference was observed between the expression of omentin gene after eight weeks of MCT training in the groups(P=0.001). Also, between the expression of vaspin gene after eight weeks of MCT in the groups(P=0.001). Conclusion: The results of this study showed that obesity can change the expression of some adipocytokines in adipose tissue. On the other hand, MCT training and the use of Yomogi supplement can modulate the expression of genes related to obesity in obese mice.
